"Karma" actor Park Hae-soo introduced his character.
On the morning of the 31st, the production presentation for the Netflix original series "Karma" took place at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Il-hyung and actors Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-a, Lee Hee-jun, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon attended the presentation.
"Karma" is a crime thriller that tells the stories of six people entangled in karma from which they want to escape but cannot.
Park Hae-soo plays the role of the "witness" who witnesses a mysterious accident and gets embroiled in covering it up. He explained, "What attracted me when I first received the script was that I had never encountered a work that was so extreme and had such a strong story while being able to drive forward in one breath. I was drawn to the story and found the twist and structure very appealing. Later, as I read more of the script, I felt grateful that the character was independent, frightening, and disgusting, yet foolish and somehow comical in the gap, which intrigued me in choosing this work."
He continued about the character, saying, "He witnesses a mysterious incident and tries to cover it up by receiving money from the 'glasses man,' which makes the incident grow larger and rush forward like a storm. He is a somewhat unclear character."
He also shared that regarding expressing the witness, he focused on finding the reason why "that friend had no choice but to make such a choice. I tried to focus on the sequential changes in extreme situations, even though there are parts that are not relatable to me and I do not empathize with."
Meanwhile, "Karma" will be released on Netflix on April 4th.
