Actors Shin Min-a and Gong Seung-yeon expressed their desire for the genre.

On the morning of the 31st, a production presentation for the Netflix original series 'Karma' took place at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Jongno, Seoul. Director Lee Il-hyung, actors Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-a, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon attended the presentation.

'Karma' is a crime thriller that depicts the story of six individuals intertwined in a karmic relationship that they cannot escape from, even if they want to.

In the work, Shin Min-a plays 'Joo-yeon,' a surgeon living with past trauma. He introduced his character by saying, "Joo-yeon is a surgeon with past trauma. Emotions overwhelm him when he encounters characters he never wants to meet again."

He continued, "Having experienced significant trauma in the past, Joo-yeon now works as a surgeon, but he suffers from insomnia every day due to that pain. I tried to express the depth and weight of that past trauma in reality. I also discussed this aspect with the director."

Especially returning to a genre work after a long time, Shin Min-a, when asked about her feelings, said, "I like genre works and wanted to do one. I was happy when I received the script for 'Karma' and had a desire to do well. I want to do many genre works after 'Karma.'"

Gong Seung-yeon, who is undergoing a transformation through this work, also expressed her hopes when asked what kind of reactions she wants to hear after the work's release, saying, "This is my first challenge in a genre work, and I want to have the description of being an actor who suits genre works." When expectations arose about the possibility of Shin Min-a and Gong Seung-yeon reuniting in another genre work, Lee Kwang-soo added, "I also look forward to it."

Meanwhile, 'Karma' will be released on Netflix on April 4.
