Crossover group La Poem's (LA POEM) Choi Sung-hoon successfully concluded his solo concert.
Choi Sung-hoon held the 2025 Countertenor Choi Sung-hoon concert 'Movement' at the Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 29th.
This performance is a solo concert presented 1 year and 10 months after the 'Movement' series performances, 'On Stage' and 'On Air,' held in May 2023. Choi Sung-hoon recorded a full house, garnering great interest before the concert started, just like his first 'Movement' concert held at the Lotte Concert Hall in 2022.
On this day, Choi Sung-hoon opened his performance with 'Largo' and 'Ave Maria,' delivering an overwhelming resonance from the very beginning.
The concert was themed 'Finally, The Movement from calm lake to strong sea,' starting with a lyrical atmosphere and progressing to an increasingly grand composition. In addition, the first part featured a white suit, while the second part showcased a black long coat, creating contrasting appearances that pleased both the eyes and ears.
In particular, as previously announced, Choi Sung-hoon revealed his identity as a classic crossover singer and his capabilities as a countertenor without reservation through this concert. Furthermore, he firmly established himself as a soloist with a distinctive resonance that fills the space.
Afterward, Choi Sung-hoon prepared a diverse setlist, including the movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' OST 'Moon River,' 'Coco' OST 'Remember Me,' 'Music of The Night' from the musical 'The Phantom of the Opera,' and 'Love Never Dies' from the musical 'Love Never Dies,' enveloping the venue in profound emotion.
Finally, Choi Sung-hoon performed 'My Love, My Side,' 'Hymne A L'Amour,' and 'What a Wonderful World' as an encore, promising to meet again.
Immediately after the performance, Choi Sung-hoon stated through his agency, "This is my first solo concert in about 2 years, and it was quite challenging to prepare various things over a long time. I wanted to create a complete stage through many meetings regarding music, composition, and planning, and I'm really grateful and happy that so many people enjoyed it." He added, "I will strive to be an artist who always moves forward without staying still."
Meanwhile, Choi Sung-hoon plans to continue expanding his music and engage in various activities as a member of La Poem to connect with fans.
