Actor Jang Yoon-joo is attempting a transformation by acting in a glamorous chaebol family.

Jang has confirmed her appearance in the Genie TV original "The Kind Woman Busemi" (written by Hyun Gyu-ri, directed by Park Yu-young), and is expected to showcase a sharp look never seen before.

The Genie TV original "The Kind Woman Busemi" is a crime romance drama about a female bodyguard, Busemi (Jeon Yeo-bin), who, with three months left until a life reset, risks it all by entering into a contract marriage with a terminal chaebol chairman while looking to change her identity and survive for three months, avoiding those who are after a massive inheritance.

In the drama, Jang Yoon-joo plays the role of Gaseon-young, the stepdaughter of the owner of a conglomerate and someone who covets the chairman's inheritance. Gaseon-young is adept at image-making and will go to great lengths to get what she desires, embodying a character with a thoroughly dualistic personality that is different on the outside and inside. Expectations are high that Jang, who has mainly played ordinary citizen roles that have invigorated the atmosphere of dramas, will showcase a cold and chilling visual for the first time.

Moreover, staying true to her identity as a member of a chaebol family, Jang Yoon-joo is expected to elevate the immersion of the drama further with her sophisticated visuals, extravagant fashion, luxurious atmosphere, stable acting skills, and her unique strong presence.

Meanwhile, after a flawless year in 2024 filled with films, dramas, and musicals, where she fully bloomed in her acting career, Jang Yoon-joo will seek to transform her acting once again through "The Kind Woman Busemi," adding a new chapter to her filmography.

The Genie TV original "The Kind Woman Busemi," featuring the transformed Jang Yoon-joo as a glamorous member of a chaebol family, is set to be released in the second half of 2025 through Genie TV and ENA.
