Singer Jinseong has made a donation to help in the recovery from the devastating forest fires.
Jinseong donated 30 million won to the Korean National Red Cross on the afternoon of the 28th for the recovery efforts from the forest fire damage. This donation will be used for recovery in the Gyeongbuk region, which has been affected by large-scale forest fires, as well as for supporting disaster victims and rescuers.
Jinseong has a special affection for Gyeongbuk. After his song 'At Andong Station' achieved unexpected success, even having a stone monument dedicated to the song erected at Andong Station, Jinseong referred to the Gyeongbuk region as his 'second hometown.' Following the news of the forest fire damage in Gyeongbuk, Jinseong reportedly decided to donate in gratitude for the love he has received.
Jinseong said, "I send my deepest condolences to those who are having a hard time due to the forest fires. I hope this can be of some help, and I wish for everyone to return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
