The members of the group (G)I-DLE, Minnie, Ugi, and Shuhua, recently expressed their warm hearts through a relay donation to support recovery from the wildfire damage that has occurred nationwide and aid for the disaster victims.
The Korean Red Cross announced on the 31st that members Minnie, Ugi, and Shuhua of (G)I-DLE each donated 100 million won, for a total of 300 million won, to support nationwide recovery from wildfire damage in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Ulsan, and support for wildfire rescue workers and disaster victims.
The three members said, "Hearing the news that many people are suffering due to the sudden wildfires weighs heavily on our hearts. We hope that our small help will contribute to the quick recovery of those affected. We also express our deep gratitude and support to everyone working hard on the front lines."
The members of (G)I-DLE have emphasized the value of sharing through communication with fans and demonstrated their positive influence once again through this donation.
The donation will be used for emergency relief activities and long-term recovery projects in the areas affected by the wildfires through the Korean Red Cross. In particular, the large amount of 300 million won, with each member donating 100 million won, is expected to significantly support the stabilization of living conditions for the affected residents and the support of personnel on-site.
Kim Cheol-su, chairman of the Korean Red Cross, said, "It will be a great comfort to those dedicated personnel in disaster sites and to neighbors in pain," adding, "I hope that the positive influence of Minnie, Ugi, and Shuhua serves as an opportunity to convey hope to more people."
