Actor An Ji-ho has transformed into a top dating instructor.
'Class 2 Lee Hee-soo,' which premiered last week on Heavenly, is based on the popular webtoon of the same name, which has received a score of over 9.7 on Lezhin Comics. The work features stories centered around an ordinary boy, Hee-soo, who has troubles he cannot share, and those around him.
In the series, An Ji-ho plays Lee Hee-soo, a high school student with the unique setting of being a 'permanently single dating consultant.' From his first appearance, he made a strong impression. He added depth to his character by bringing honesty and humor typical of a high school student. His detailed expressive ability, capturing even the smallest scenes, heightened viewer immersion.
Hee-soo is a low-profile student who is more often referred to as 'the dating consultant guy' than by his name at school. However, he brings about delightful laughter with his surprising insights into his friends' romantic lives and quirky advice. Additionally, he conveys the loneliness hidden in conversations with friends, the thrill and resignation of unrequited love, and complex feelings about Chan-young (Jo Jun-young) in a restrained yet profound manner.
In particular, through the carrot juice placed on the desk and locker, the scene where Hee-soo is filled with quiet expectations and carefully prepares to confess, only to miss the timing, vividly conveys the excitement and despair of first love, evoking empathy.
Through this work, An Ji-ho proves once again his subtle inner acting and reality-anchored character interpretation, solidifying his position as a next-generation acting talent. Expectations are also rising regarding how honest Hee-soo will become with his emotions and what changes in relationships with those around him will emerge.
Meanwhile, 'Class 2 Lee Hee-soo,' starring An Ji-ho, releases episodes every Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m.
