Actor Kim Soo-hyun is under investigation for grooming crimes, foreign media reported.
TMZ reported on the 28th (local time) that "the family of the late Kim Sae-ron is claiming that Kim Soo-hyun groomed their daughter and is attacking him... It was revealed that Kim Soo-hyun, now an adult, sent text messages to her when she was still a minor."
It was also noted, "the family held a press conference and shared messages exchanged between 15-year-old Kim Sae-ron and 28-year-old Kim Soo-hyun in 2016. This message, written in Korean, translates to inappropriate messages between the two. Kim Soo-hyun says he wanted to cuddle and sleep with Kim Sae-ron."
Additionally, the family revealed through Kim Sae-ron's lawyer that they initially had no plans to disclose this message, and they said they were trying to put an end to claims made by YouTubers that the relationship between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun was a fraud.
Furthermore, it was reported that Kim Soo-hyun and his team denied these allegations through a statement. Kim Soo-hyun's side had previously stated that they only started dating after Kim Sae-ron turned 18 (an adult).
In addition, it was noted that Kim Sae-ron was under pressure to repay about $500,000 (approximately 700 million won) to Goldmedalist, the agency of Kim Soo-hyun, during her lifetime.
