Actress Sunwoo Yongyeo expressed her feelings regarding her marriage and the loss of her husband.
On the 30th, actress Sunwoo Yongyeo appeared as a guest on MBC's 'Please Take Care of Mom' and talked about her husband, who passed away in 2014.
After watching a video of her daughter, Choi Yeonje, who has pursued a singing career, Sunwoo Yongyeo recalled her wedding day. Due to a hasty marriage, Sunwoo Yongyeo married while four months pregnant and said, 'The groom did not show up at the wedding,' raising curiosity.
Sunwoo Yongyeo explained, 'The groom had debts totaling 17.5 million won owed to a person he treated like a father. He promised to pay it back but ended up in jail on the day of the wedding. The creditors suddenly came to me and asked me to stamp something. So, without knowing anything, I became a guarantor.'
Sunwoo Yongyeo continued, 'I lost all my belongings due to my husband's friend's debts. I was also evicted from my home, which was very hard. I continued filming to repay the debts. I had no time to go home due to the endless filming. I even had to go into the sea three days after giving birth.'
Sunwoo Yongyeo lost her husband in 2014. She stated, 'I never knew that going through a trial could be this difficult. I spent 17 years in court trying to regain the land, and then he passed away. He had diabetes and even Parkinson's disease. While taking care of him, I developed high blood pressure. I had to smile while filming, but coming home to see my sick husband broke my heart. Those who haven't experienced it wouldn't understand.'
Regarding her life after losing her husband, Sunwoo Yongyeo said, '(I) dislike taking medicine. I thought I would recover quickly after my husband passed, but I started having retinal hemorrhages. I couldn't see when I blinked. After six months, I had to speak while filming, but nothing came out. Fortunately, it was filming with a doctor, and after an examination, I was diagnosed with cerebral infarction symptoms. I went to the emergency room after the filming was stopped.'
