According to a report by Sports Kyunghyang on the 30th, the Seoul Seocho Police Station concluded regarding the case filed by Hong Seong-woo's side against a former hospital official A for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (defamation) and obstruction of business, 'Based on the results of the phone surveys of witnesses, it has been determined that some statements were falsely written under the inducement of the witnesses.'
The statements in question were reportedly related to a workplace bullying complaint involving Hong Seong-woo filed with the hospital around October 2021, where nurses alleged that they suffered from persistent bullying.
The statements reportedly included claims from the nurses that 'they faced verbal abuse and violence from Hong Seong-woo, leading them to feel suicidal' and 'the bullying lasted for six months, which led to feelings of self-loathing about work.'
The police view the content of the statements as 'written falsely by those involved under inducement.' Previously, Hong Seong-woo denied the contents of these statements.
Additionally, the police decided not to prosecute regarding the defamation and obstruction of business charges against the hospital officials, effectively concluding the case.
Meanwhile, Hong Seong-woo operates the YouTube channel 'Doctor Jomulju Kkwachuhyeong' and has gained recognition by appearing in various entertainment programs.
