ChoA (Heo Min-jin) of Crayon Pop visited a clinic specialized in infertility to prepare for having a second child.
On the 28th, ChoA shared on her social account, "I just arrived at the clinic. I wonder if I can meet Grandpa Samshin," as she waited on-site to receive treatment at a clinic in Gyeongju.
The clinic is so popular that many have visited and succeeded in becoming pregnant, to the extent that it is called 'Grandpa Samshin.' Earlier, director Jang Hang-jun and writer Kim Eun-hee shared experiences of visiting the clinic through a broadcast, and recently, the couple Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun revealed that they received treatment at this clinic after waiting for 5 hours while appearing on SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2.'
ChoA said, "Next week is already CT, and I really wanted to succeed in natural conception before that, but I failed. I came here to try again after the new Naver reservation system failed. This week is the final on-site reservation, and I was worried that I might not get a number."
Afterward, she looked at the long line of tents in front of the clinic and hoped, "More than 20 teams arrived overnight. There are so many people who are desperate, so I hope everyone gets good news."
After a long wait, ChoA finally received treatment and posted an additional message on the 29th, explaining, "Meeting the chief doctor felt really like encountering the white-haired Grandpa Samshin! He checked my pulse, asked if my menstrual cycle was regular, and when I explained the situation, mentioning that it wasn't good before but it's okay now, he said there were no issues apart from the uterus, so I should get some medicine and emphasized not to worry about the ovulation day, just relax and try often."
She continued, "The doctor checked my husband's pulse and said his sperm is good and there are no health issues, so he doesn't need medication. However, after I mentioned my husband has some back issues, the doctor checked again and still said he doesn't need medication. It all ended in about 5 minutes. There wasn't anything special, but since we already knew, we received the good energy and made fun memories."
Meanwhile, ChoA married a businessman who is six years older than her in 2021. Now in her fifth year of marriage, ChoA received a shocking diagnosis of cervical cancer during a health check while preparing for pregnancy in her first year of marriage. She met with medical personnel who told her she could undergo cancer removal and preserve her fertility, and she underwent surgery in August 2023.
Later, during an outpatient visit on January 6, cysts were found on her ovaries, but she shed happy tears after receiving permission for pregnancy from the medical staff. Especially expressing her desire for natural conception, she explained, "As soon as I got the okay for pregnancy in January, I rushed to the infertility center the next day and did everything possible until this month—ovulation ultrasounds, blood concentration tests, superovulation injections, and ovulation induction injections—but it didn't work. The fallopian tubes are clear, and the ovarian test results were good, so I still have hope for natural conception, and I plan to make my last attempt until April before moving on to IVF."
