Singer Go Jeong-woo expressed his feelings about re-challenging himself in 'Mr. Trot 3.'
Go Jeong-woo recently met with OSEN at a café in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he talked about his newly released song 'Palja.'
Go Jeong-woo gained recognition as the youngest diver in Haenam by appearing on various programs such as SBS's 'Moment of Truth' and KBS2's 'Human Theater,' working as a diver with his grandmother, who was also a diver. After that, he proved his skills as a five-time winner on KBS1's 'Morning Yard' corner, and after appearing on TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 2,' he gained the nickname 'Seafood Pot Voice' with his deep emotion and vocal ability, making a name for himself as a next-generation traditional trot singer.
Go Jeong-woo, recognized for his skills through 'Morning Yard' and 'Mr. Trot 2,' chose to challenge himself once again by appearing as 'Ulsan Na Hoon-a' in the current division of 'Mr. Trot 3,' showcasing a more developed side while once again proving his name and skills.
As in 'Mr. Trot 2,' Go Jeong-woo left with disappointment after being eliminated in the third round of the finals in 'Mr. Trot 3.' Go Jeong-woo said, 'I think the third round of the finals is quite a hurdle,' adding, 'After being eliminated, I felt, 'Why am I going through this again?' and 'What am I lacking?' But I believe it's a sign to take a break once more and to accumulate my skills.'
It must have been disappointing not to overcome the hurdle of the 'third round of the finals.' However, Go Jeong-woo compared success to climbing a mountain and said, 'Climbing is about heading towards the peak, and there are various routes to the peak. Some routes are steep but allow for a quick ascent, while others let you enjoy the surrounding scenery as you climb slowly. Regardless, the commonality is reaching the peak; I feel like I'm slowly and gently climbing.'
However, Go Jeong-woo succeeded in cementing his name through 'Mr. Trot 3.' After appearing in 'Mr. Trot 3,' he remade Na Hoon-a's 'Palja,' expressing his determination to present more sincere activities that will touch the public.
Go Jeong-woo stated, 'I feel the same now as I did when I started as a singer. And I think it will remain the same even after 10 or 20 years. If I keep doing this, a day will come when everyone in the country will know me.'
From being the 'youngest diver' to becoming a five-time winner on 'Morning Yard' and appearing on 'Mr. Trot 2,' Go Jeong-woo is showing his growth. He conveyed his firm resolve, saying, 'Coming to Seoul without a single won and reaching this point is truly commendable. Therefore, I am confident that I can overcome any adversity that comes my way.'
<The end.>
