The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 29th that singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun donated 50 million won for the recovery efforts from the wildfires in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.
Hwang Min-hyun said to Hope Bridge, "I hope this helps even a little for those who have been affected by the wildfires" and added, "I sincerely hope that daily life is restored as soon as possible."
Hope Bridge Secretary-General Shin Hoon said, "The support of each person will be a great help to the affected neighbors" and noted, "The donation will be used carefully for the restoration of daily life for the neighbors affected by the wildfires."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge has been providing relief supplies totaling 450,000 items, including relief kits, shelter partitions, blankets, daily necessities, water, and food, to the areas affected by the wildfires, and continues to support meals for firefighters and laundry relief activities at shelters.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising organization established in 1961 by media outlets and social organizations across the country. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, recovery of local communities after disasters, and support for vulnerable populations affected by disasters. To date, it has supported 1.6 trillion won in donations and over 60 million items of relief supplies.
