The group ENHYPEN member Jay has transformed into an emotional rocker.
Belift Lab revealed a cover video of Jay's 'Always' on ENHYPEN's official YouTube channel at 7 p.m. on the 28th. 'Always' is a song by the legendary American rock band Bon Jovi, containing a powerful message about love and devotion.
Jay reinterpreted this lyrical rock ballad with a delicate yet steady breath, and his flexible vocal texture amplified the song's charm. In particular, he showcased his versatility as an artist by playing the guitar solo part himself.
Additionally, Jay actively participated in the video composition. He not only created a chic atmosphere with an all-black outfit including a leather jacket but also put effort into showcasing a video rich with his own style through camera acting and the editing process.
Jay noted, 'The longing expressed in the lyrics of 'Always' left a deep impression on me, and I chose to cover this song because I've always liked Bon Jovi's performance at Wembley Stadium in England in 1995.' He added, 'I hope this song becomes a source of strength not just for ENGENE (the fandom name) but for many others as well.'
ENHYPEN, of which Jay is a member, will perform at the largest music festival in the U.S., the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, on the 12th and 19th of next month. This will mark them as the K-pop boy group that has taken the stage at this festival in the shortest time after debut.
