Former 'Single's Inferno' participant Choi Si-hoon expressed his distress over rumors that he comes from a host bar.

Choi Si-hoon recalled, 'I remember that rumor from when I was on 'Single's Inferno.' It's because I had not acted for very long. It was really tough for me while acting. My mom also said she couldn't watch it because she felt embarrassed when I showed her the web drama. But the first time my mom watched something I was in was 'Single's Inferno.' After 3 or 4 episodes, posts started appearing online in the community.'
He continued, 'At first, it was a little funny. It's because such expressions were something like 'fire pillars' and so forth, and I thought they were just jokes. I ignored them thinking they were jokes, but the reactions from people seemed quite serious. There were a lot of people who enjoyed the rumors.'
Choi Si-hoon expressed feeling wronged. He said, 'Anyway, while preparing for acting, since I was an unknown and a regular person, it was my first experience like that, so I felt so wronged. Even when I started acting, I quit all my part-time jobs. I had to burn everything with the goal of being an actor. Since I started later than others, I thought I could catch up, so I went to an acting academy, participated in study groups, did voice training every morning, and walked for one to two hours to eliminate distractions. I was preparing myself well, but when that happened, everything just collapsed, and I felt really wronged.'
He added, 'So, I just posted on social media right away. The producer of 'Single's Inferno' also said not to post it since people were making a fuss. At that time, I was also with a small company that told me not to post it, but I felt so wronged. I thought I should say something to clarify that it wasn't true, so I posted a message. The next day when I woke up, I found there were about 40 to 50 articles. From that time onward, all the memes started flooding with that.'
Ultimately, Choi Si-hoon gave up his life as an actor. He said, 'So I got really frustrated and realized that this path wasn't for me. Acting is a job I love very much, but I thought I should give it up. After that, I started living earnestly. It was very wronged and frustrating for me, but it became a turning point in my life. Thanks to that, I realized that acting and the life of an actor is really difficult. The hardest part is having the courage to know when to give up. I acted for 8 years without any skills, so for me, it was actually a grateful moment.'
