On the same day, a media outlet reported, citing broadcasting officials, that both the male and female leads, Byun Woo-seok and singer-actress IU, were confirmed to leave '21st Century Grand Duchess.' While the airing of '21st Century Grand Duchess' has raised questions about its schedule being pushed from the end of the year to early next year, it is reported that MBC and the production company Kakao Entertainment are discussing the OTT distribution with Disney+, while the lead cast has expressed their desire for Netflix distribution.
