Singer Han Seoin, from the groups The SeeYa and Five Dolls, shared her feelings about taking her first steps as a solo artist.

On the 28th, Han Seoin released her first solo single "Passing Time" along with its music video on various online music sites.

After debuting in 2012 with The SeeYa’s digital single "Good to Seeya" and also working with Five Dolls, Han Seoin received attention for her powerful vocals. After both groups disbanded, she participated in KBS2’s "Idol Rebooting Project-The Unit," and later expanded her activities into acting through the MBN drama "It's Okay Because I'm Dad." She attracted attention by showcasing her unexpected cooking skills on SBS FiL and MBN’s variety show "Korea Chicken Tournament."

Meeting with OSEN for an interview upon the release of her new song, Han Seoin said, "For me, the biggest career milestone has been my activities with The SeeYa and Five Dolls, but I worried whether there would be people who remember or have waited for me after such a long hiatus. And if there are people who have waited, I also worry whether I can meet their expectations, while on the other hand, I'm excited."

Han Seoin, who was waiting for her new song with 60% worry and 40% excitement. This new song is particularly special as she directly wrote, composed, and produced it, unlike her past group activities. Han Seoin noted, "Since it is a song that carries my voice from beginning to end, I hope it is received well, and I do have some expectations about how it will be received."

Han Seoin's first single "Passing Time," as she takes her first steps as a solo artist, is a city pop genre rich in warm and lyrical acoustic instrument sounds, showcasing her attractive high notes and vocal ability. It expresses the emotions felt by the childhood 'me' and the adult 'me' about the past, present, and unpredictable future, delivering a sense of authenticity and empathy to listeners through its heartfelt lyrics and rich sound.

Currently teaching at a university, Han Seoin has no choice but to examine her songs meticulously and pour her passion into them, now that she has become a professor. She said, "As the music is filled with affection, it is a product created by working closely with the engineers. We shared many discussions about the kind of picture we wanted to draw together while writing and recording the song, and regarding the lyrics, I happened to see videos from my childhood, and thought it would be nice to reflect my life in them, so I developed the story and worked on it very delicately."
