Han Seoin, a singer from The See Ya and Five Dolls, is making her solo debut supported by actor Song Ji-ho, known as "Ajubeonim."
Han Seoin released her first solo single "Time to Pass" along with a music video on various online music platforms on the 28th.
Since debuting in 2012 with The See Ya's digital single "Good to Seeya" and also being active in Five Dolls, Han Seoin has garnered attention for her powerful vocals. After both groups disbanded, she appeared on KBS2's "Idol Rebooting Project - The Unit," and later expanded her career as an actress through the MBN drama "It's Okay Because I'm Dad," while also gaining attention for her unexpected cooking skills on the SBS FiL and MBN variety show "Korea Chicken Competition."
After the release of her new song, Han Seoin met with OSEN for an interview, discussing the music video for "Time to Pass" which features childhood scenes. She noted, "Since this is my first solo album, it holds significant meaning, and many expressed the desire for me to appear in the music video as this marks my comeback after a long hiatus."
Han Seoin added, "I had seen many videos of my childhood, so there wasn't a strong emotional resonance at first, but I had a poignant memory of the scenes where I meet my younger self on the bridge and moments where I pull out old photos or unfold drawings. The series of processes felt like opening a box of memories."
Han Seoin, who added a special touch by featuring her childhood in the music video, expressed a slight disappointment that her relative, actor Song Ji-ho, referred to as "Ajubeonim," did not appear. Han Seoin became related to Song Ji-ho through marriage. Song Ji-ho has gained attention as an actor through appearances in dramas such as "Dr. Cha Jeong-suk" and "Seonje Up Go Ttue," and the two have previously made headlines for their shared moments watching dramas together.
Han Seoin mentioned, "I actually meet Ajubeonim quite often even now. I see him at least once every two weeks, and at times even two to three times a week, and he has been very supportive since the planning stage of the album, making efforts to promote it as well."
Han Seoin continued, "This song is a ballad, so there aren't any challenges, but since shorts and reels are trending, I've been asking those around me to just sing the chorus. Many expressed the wish for me to appear in this solo music video, so I couldn't invite Ajubeonim, but I've already asked him to join next time."
