
Broadcaster Choi Hwajung participated in donations for wildfire damage recovery.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 28th that Choi Hwajung donated 20 million won for the recovery of wildfire damage in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
Choi Hwajung said, "I feel sorry to even dare to consider the feelings of the residents in the wildfire-affected areas who have lost their homes. I hope this can be of some help to them. I am deeply grateful to the firefighters who are struggling even at this moment and everyone working hard for recovery."
Choi Hwajung's donation will be used for practical recovery activities including emergency livelihood support for affected residents, provision of relief supplies, and operation of temporary shelters.
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is currently providing more than 420,000 relief supplies including relief kits, shelter partitions, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food for the wildfire-affected areas, and various on-site relief activities, including laundry support within shelters, are continuing. Additionally, meal support for firefighters and field response teams deployed on-site is also ongoing.
