NCT member Mark (affiliated with SME) expressed the rough atmosphere he encountered in his first residence through hip-hop sound in the New York chapter of his solo album.
Mark's first solo album 'The Firstfruit' will be released on April 7 at 6 p.m. on various music sites, featuring a total of 13 tracks divided into 4 chapters inspired by cities that hold Mark's footprints, including Toronto, New York, Vancouver, and Seoul.
The first track in the New York chapter, 'Flight to NYC,' is a skit track that captures the emotions felt on a plane headed to New York after departing from his hometown of Toronto, featuring airplane ambiance sounds, a dreamlike and unfamiliar beat, and a narration that flows like a whisper, creating a unique charm.
'Righteous,' which starts with rough chanting from hooligans, is a dynamic hip-hop track with heavy kicks and BASS, and an ear-piercingly repetitive hi-hat sound, embodying the confidence of an artist with a strong presence around the world, exuding intense energy that could shake the ground on stage.
Additionally, the New York chapter includes 'Fraktsiya (Feat. Lee Young-ji),' which was pre-released last December, gaining great love from music fans with lyrics that compare Mark and Lee Young-ji's activities that bridge K-pop and hip-hop, along with sharp rapping.
At midnight (on the 28th), the concept image for 'Stranger' was revealed on NCT's official social media channel, portraying Mark as a stranger who has traveled through various cities, and has received a positive response for showcasing his development of a unique atmosphere through experiences in unfamiliar and diverse cities.
Mark's first solo album 'The Firstfruit' will also be released as a physical record on April 7.
