Artists transcending genres, including NELL, 10CM, and QWER, who are the leaders of the music industry's 'band boom,' as well as KYUHYUN and LI CHANGSUB, who have showcased their unique charms in musicals and entertainment, will join the '2025 Weverse Con Festival' (hereinafter referred to as WECONFE) to present a rich stage.
HYBE and the global superfan platform Weverse announced nine additional artist lineups through the WECONFE website on the 28th. This lineup also consists of popular artists with a variety of colors, garnering great expectations.
It is notable that many of the leaders of last year's music scene, who swept the charts, are joining. First, the modern rock band NELL, which has been part of the band scene for over 25 years, has been selected as 'WECONFE CHOICE' and will take the stage at WECONFE for the first time. 'WECONFE CHOICE' is a stage that introduces domestic artists who are loved by the public but have not yet joined Weverse to global K-pop fans; the first lineup included Im Woojin. Attention is drawn to what kind of unique performance NELL, a self-proclaimed stage master, will showcase at WECONFE.
Singer-songwriter 10CM, known as the 'indie president,' who received a great response from the audience at WECONFE 2024, is also part of the lineup this year. Also, the band QWER, which has successively hit songs like 'Discord,' 'Addicted to Worries,' and 'My Name is Clear,' will present a distinctive stage, having firmly established itself as a 'favorite girl band.'
Solo artists, who are showcasing their charms beyond K-pop through musicals and entertainment, will also attend WECONFE.
Singer KYUHYUN, who marked the 10th anniversary of his solo debut last year, will step on the WECONFE stage for the first time. KYUHYUN released his first solo album 'COLORS' last November and conducted an Asia tour of the same name. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance, which will showcase his versatile charms from ballads to dance and musicals.
LI CHANGSUB, who performed on the WECONFE stage with the group BTOB in 2023, will showcase his identity as a solo artist this year. LI CHANGSUB has been actively involved not only in group activities but also in the release of solo albums and musicals, expanding his musical worldview.
CHUU, who received acclaim from the audience for her delicate sensibilities and vocal tone at last year's WECONFE, will return to the festival. Fans are curious to see what new aspects 'human vitamin' CHUU will show on stage this year, following her captivating performances of 'Aliens' and 'Underwater.'
'Trend idols' will also showcase their unique charms. Members Jiyu, Sua, and Yuhyun of the group DREAMCATCHER, loved as 'performance powerhouses,' will present a unit performance at WECONFE. DREAMCATCHER has met with global fans through tours in nine European countries, South America, North America, Hong Kong, and more last year.
The boy group TREASURE, who topped the iTunes album chart in 11 regions, including No. 1 immediately after their comeback with the special mini-album '[PLEASURE]' on the 7th, is also joining WECONFE. The energetic and refreshing TREASURE is likely to dazzle the audience with their performance.
The group LUN8, which has recently returned with the hip-hop style new song 'Butterfly,' showcasing distinct Eastern characteristics and has received love from fans, will also grace the WECONFE stage for the first time. After more than two years since their debut, LUN8 is set to present their transformation into a global star to their fans.
HYBE noted, 'Since the announcement of the first lineup for last year's Weverse Con Festival, we have felt that fan expectations for this year's festival have risen even more. We ask for much interest in the WECONFE's signature 'Tribute Stage,' which will be unveiled alongside the final lineup next month.'
The 2025 Weverse Con Festival will be held over two days from May 31 to June 1 at the Inspire Entertainment Resort on Yeongjong Island in Incheon. The final lineup will be announced next month.
