Actors Im Mi-do and Lee Seung-woo will meet as staff members of the '24-Hour Health Club.'
The new Wednesday-Thursday drama '24-Hour Health Club' (directed by Park Joon-soo and Choi Yeon-soo, written by Kim Ji-soo), scheduled to air for the first time on April 30 at 9:50 p.m. on KBS 2TV, features the muscle-obsessed club director Do Hyun-jung, who boldly corrects the excessively anxious health club members’ lives, unfolding a thrilling muscle growth comic romance.
'24-Hour Health Club,' which heralds the birth of an unprecedented health drama, is a collaboration between director Park Joon-soo, recognized for his vibrant directing through 'Gaussian Electronics' and 'Music God,' and writer Kim Ji-soo, who showcased a delicate yet delightful writing style in 'Postpartum Care Center.' Additionally, the drama has gained a lot of interest even before the broadcast, with popular actors like Lee Joon-young and Jeong Eun-ji joining the cast.
Among these, on the 28th (today), stills of Im Mi-do and Lee Seung-woo perfectly transformed into health trainers were revealed. The duo's well-trained, strong bodies for their characters are already causing many people's deep immersion.
Im Mi-do exudes a unique charm through her character Rosa, a health club staff member. Rosa, known for her exceptional verbal skills, skillfully handles demanding members, and experiences troubles with the second club director Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Joon-young), whom she considers an unwelcome guest. Im Mi-do, born with a healthy 'muscle spoon' body, created Rosa in her own style. After the casting was confirmed, she started working out and focusing on her diet to embody the energy of the character, even challenging herself with a bob hairstyle to highlight Rosa's individuality. It is said that she constantly researched to naturally blend not only her physical transformation but also Rosa's attitude and ambiance.
Lee Seung-woo plays Alex, the adorable mascot of the health club. Despite his sweet face, Alex boasts a remarkably angry body, known as a 'baby-faced muscle guy,' who perfectly understands the actions of director Hyun-jung and idolizes him. He is also expected to act as a mood maker in the conflict between Hyun-jung and Rosa. Alex's unpredictable behavior in calming the excited Rosa and his cheerful smile will add vitality to the drama. Lee Seung-woo has also been working out every single day, starting even before filming, to enhance his physical appearance.
In this way, Rosa and Alex, who are always on standby at the health club 24/7, are expected to awaken not only the bodies and minds of the members but also the viewers. There is anticipation about why the two have fallen into exercise and the dynamic transformations of Im Mi-do and Lee Seung-woo in their performances.
