Winter of Aespa has joined efforts to support recovery from the large-scale forest fire damage.
The Korean Red Cross announced on the 28th that Winter donated 100 million won to support those affected by the forest fire.
Winter noted, "I want to extend my deep condolences to those who have lost their ordinary days due to the forest fire," and added, "I hope the fire is extinguished quickly so that everyone can return to their precious daily lives as soon as possible."
This donation will be used for recovery and support for disaster victims in areas affected by the forest fire, including North Gyeongsang Province, South Gyeongsang Province, and Ulsan.
Kim Cheol-soo, chairman of the Korean Red Cross, expressed gratitude by saying, "We appreciate Winter's warm donation," and noted, "We will do our best to support the disaster victims so that they can feel this warm heart on the ground."
Meanwhile, the Korean Red Cross has been carrying out emergency relief activities for those affected by the forest fire, including firefighting personnel and disaster victims, since the forest fire began on the 21st, marking the eighth day of their efforts in various affected regions, including Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province, Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province, and Uljin in Ulsan.
As of the 27th, 2,052 employees and volunteers are active on the ground, providing a total of 87,887 relief supplies, including 1,270 emergency relief sets, 4,865 blankets, 477 shelters, and 59,630 bottles of water and other items. Additionally, they have provided meal support to 58,210 firefighting personnel and disaster victims, and have conducted disaster psychological counseling for 2,924 individuals.
Furthermore, a mobile clinic has been set up on-site to begin consultations, and 13 units of relief equipment, including mobile meal vehicles, recovery support vehicles, mobile shower vehicles, and relief support vehicles, are also in operation.
The Korean Red Cross is conducting an emergency fundraising campaign for disaster relief for victims of the large-scale forest fire until April 22. Donations can be made through the website and Naver Happy Bean, and inquiries can be confirmed at 1577-8179.
