Singer Kim Ho-joong, who is currently serving time for a hit-and-run accident while intoxicated, has had over 300 million won donated by his official fan cafe, Tvaroti.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association stated on the 28th that Kim Ho-joong's official fan cafe, Tvaroti, has raised about 310 million won in four days to aid in the recovery from the major wildfire damage that swept the nation in the spring of 2025.
This fundraising was organized by over 7,000 Aris members (the fandom name for Kim Ho-joong) who voluntarily participated through Kim Ho-joong's official fan cafe, Tvaroti. The association plans to use the donated funds to provide emergency relief items and support residents in the affected areas, including operating temporary shelters.
This is not the first donation from Tvaroti. During the wildfires on the east coast in 2022, they donated 270 million won, and in response to flood damage from heavy rains in the summer of 2023, they contributed 350 million won, participating in various large and small disasters to present a social contribution model for the fandom. The total amount donated by Tvaroti to Hope Bridge has reached approximately 1.25 billion won.
The Tvaroti side noted, "This was a voluntary fundraising effort from fans who want to resemble Kim Ho-joong's positive influence, making it even more meaningful," and added, "We hope it brings some comfort and help to those who have lost their homes due to this wildfire. We believe that the best support we can provide as fans is to make the world a warmer place."
Shin Hoon, the Secretary General of Hope Bridge, also expressed deep gratitude for Tvaroti's warm heart, stating, "The donation will be used swiftly and transparently for recovery in the affected areas and to support disaster victims."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is currently providing over 420,000 relief supplies, including relief kits, shelter partitions, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food to the areas affected by the wildfires, along with ongoing various on-site relief activities, including laundry support at shelters. Additionally, meal support for firefighters and field responders deployed to the scene is also being carried out.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising institution established in 1961 by national media and social organizations. Its main activities include disaster emergency relief, public fundraising and distribution, community recovery after disasters, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters. To date, it has provided 1.6 trillion won in funds and over 60 million relief supplies.
