H.O.T member Jang Woo-hyuk surprised fans by joining as a new student on 'Bride School' and revealed his honest thoughts about marriage.
In the 156th episode of Channel A's 'Yo-zum Namja Life - Bride School (hereafter 'Bride School'),' which aired on the 26th, Jang Woo-hyuk joined as the first new student of 2025 and showcased his simple yet frugal lifestyle, bringing warmth. In addition, 'April's Groom' Kim Jong-min met Solbi to plan a custom honeymoon for a prospective bride who wants to go to southern France.
'Principal' Lee Seung-chul welcomed Jang Woo-hyuk in the studio, saying, "It's a new semester season. A new student has entered after an incredible competition." The 'studio mentor group' cheered loudly upon hearing the news of Jang Woo-hyuk's enrollment, and he revealed, "(Kim) Jong-min is getting married, so that motivated me to enroll." Immediately after, he introduced his home, in which he participated in both the interior design and construction.
Waking up in his bedroom, Jang Woo-hyuk affectionately asked the 'cohabitation AI,' "Did you sleep well?" Watching Jang Woo-hyuk kindly interact with the AI, Kim Jong-min worriedly advised, "Hyung, you seem serious. If you're getting used to your alone time like that, there won't be room for a girlfriend to come in." Nevertheless, Jang Woo-hyuk confessed to the AI, saying, "I love you," and joked, "If there's a girl like this AI, I'd definitely marry her~," bringing smiles to everyone. After that, he came to the living room and diligently watered around 60 types of plants, wandering throughout his home. As people expressed admiration for Jang Woo-hyuk's home, which resembled a café or a botanical garden, he revealed, "It's my first 'self-owned' home, and I've lived here for 10 years. I took part in every aspect of the interior and construction with great affection."
Meanwhile, Jang Woo-hyuk demonstrated his frugality by using an empty toothpaste tube as a washing machine drum cleaner, earning praise from the 'mentor group.' Jang Woo-hyuk mentioned, "I kept a household account book even during my idol activities because being a dance singer is an unstable job." In response, 'Dating Chief' Shim Jin-hwa exclaimed, "It looks like you'll be getting married soon," and applauded him. In this warm atmosphere, Jang Woo-hyuk had a healthy breakfast by mashing avocado and eggs and wrapping them in perilla leaves. During this time, a call came in from his mother, who abruptly pressured him with, "Are you just going to work every day and not get married? My nephew, who was born when H.O.T's first album was released, is getting married soon." Jang Woo-hyuk promised his mother, "I'll definitely bring (a bride) home," before ending the call.
Finally leaving home, Jang Woo-hyuk headed to an office nearby. As he is the CEO of his agency and operates a clothing brand, he handed out vitamins to the MZ employees to make friends, shouting, "Fighting!" Additionally, as someone with a barista certification, he prepared coffee adorned with latte art while waiting for someone. Shortly after, H.O.T member Lee Jae-won made a surprise visit, saying, "I thought Kangta or Tony An would get married first among H.O.T members," and sent encouragement upon hearing that Jang Woo-hyuk was joining 'Bride School.'
While watching this, 'Principal' Lee Seung-chul asked, "What score do you think you deserve as a groom?" Jang Woo-hyuk responded, "I went to a 'decision group' before, and they gave me 80 points," earning praise of "Encouraging!" When the topic of marriage arose, Lee Jae-won revealed, "I want to get married in about three years." Jang Woo-hyuk worriedly asked, "Can I get married in three years too?" In response, the 'mentor group' encouraged him, saying, "That's enough. Since it's March now, it can happen this year."
Following the warm conclusion of Jang Woo-hyuk's first class, 'April's Groom' Kim Jong-min met with his close younger sister Solbi to discuss wedding preparations. Upon seeing Kim Jong-min, Solbi immediately congratulated him, saying, "Oppa, your face looks really bright!" She then asked, "Where are you going for your honeymoon?" Kim Jong-min replied, "Actually, I have a favor to ask regarding that. My girlfriend wants to go to southern France for our honeymoon. Could you help with planning the honeymoon?" Solbi readily promised to assist, saying she has visited France about eight times and even answered all the questions Kim Jong-min posed about France. Consequently, Kim Jong-min suggested to Jang Woo-hyuk, "You mentioned you like smart women; what do you think of Solbi?" Jang Woo-hyuk politely declined the blind date invitation, saying, "That's fine. Thank you for the offer anyway."
With humorous chemistry, Kim Jong-min met with the France expert Elodie along with Solbi. Elodie, a fan of Kim Jong-min, sincerely congratulated him on his marriage and shared plenty of information related to France. They also discussed marriage while sharing French food, and while eating a special dish with onions, Kim Jong-min said, "There might be a honeymoon baby~," eliciting envy. He also mentioned, "My girlfriend is practically French. She really eats slowly. But I eat quickly," noting their completely different eating habits.
Solbi and Elodie advised, "You have to wait," and Kim Jong-min nodded in agreement. Finally, Solbi said, "Now that you are getting married, I feel like I can give it a try too," smiling, and Kim Jong-min expressed, "I genuinely feel at ease. There's a sense of stability and a feeling of having achieved something," expressing his happiness. Elodie also supported Kim Jong-min by giving him a notebook filled with handwritten travel tips for France.
