Group Red Velvet member Seulgi donated 100 million won to help victims affected by the forest fire.

On the 27th, the Korean Red Cross stated that Red Velvet member Seulgi donated 100 million won to support the victims in the areas affected by the forest fire.

Seulgi said, "I felt deep sorrow for the many victims whose daily lives and livelihoods are threatened by an unexpected large forest fire," adding, "Though it's a small contribution, I have decided to donate with the hope that it will help."

This forest fire began in the Sancheong area of Gyeongnam on the 21st and spread rapidly to regions such as Gyeongbuk and Ulsan due to strong winds and dry weather. According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, as of 9 p.m. on the 26th, 17,752 hectares had been affected in six regions, with 2,869 victims resulting, and damage to 317 buildings, with the extent and scale of damage continuing to increase.

Seulgi's timely donation, as part of disaster response, is expected to not only aid in the practical recovery from the damage but also to highlight the values of solidarity and sharing throughout society.

A representative from the Korean Red Cross stated, "Seulgi's donation is a precious act that goes beyond mere financial support, aiming to share public responsibility in a disaster situation," and added, "The donation will be transparently implemented for the affected victims."
