Meanwhile, the forest fire that broke out in Sancheong, South Gyeongsang Province, and spread to Hadong has continued for over a week. As of 6 p.m. on the 26th, the extinguishment rate of the Sancheong and Hadong forest fire is 77%. In this forest fire, four people, including a member of the forest fire fighting team and public officials from Changnyeong County, were killed after being trapped by flames during firefighting operations, and nine others were injured.
A total of 1,573 people from 941 households, including 503 people from 357 households in Sancheong County and 1,070 people from 584 households in Hadong County, evacuated to escape the flames. Additionally, 72 locations suffered damage, including 28 dwellings, two factories, and two religious facilities.
