Star writer Kim Eun-sook has donated 60 million won for wildfire damage recovery.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 27th that writer Kim Eun-sook and Hwadam Pictures CEO Yoon Ha-rim donated 60 million won for wildfire recovery in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.

The two individuals, who are also members of the high-value donor group 'Hope Bridge Honors Club', have been practicing sharing during disasters every year, starting with donations for the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014, and including floods, wildfires, earthquakes, and more.

A representative from Hwadam Pictures said to Hope Bridge, "Writer Kim Eun-sook and CEO Yoon Ha-rim hope to provide some comfort and strength to the victims who must be deeply saddened by this wildfire, and we wish for the worst wildfire in history to be extinguished as soon as possible."

Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, said, "We are deeply grateful to writer Kim Eun-sook and CEO Yoon Ha-rim for always contributing donations for disaster-affected neighbors," and added, "Hope Bridge will do its best to help the victims regain their daily lives as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, Hope Bridge has provided relief supplies totaling 420,000 items, including relief kits, partition walls for evacuation shelters, blankets, daily necessities, drinking water, and food, and is continuing on-site relief activities including laundry at the shelters.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising organization established in 1961 by media outlets and social organizations nationwide. Its main activities include disaster emergency relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, community recovery after disasters, and support for vulnerable populations. To date, it has provided 1.6 trillion won in donations and over 60 million relief items.
