Members of the group BTS, J-Hope and Suga, participated in recovery efforts for wildfire damage.

On the 27th, the agency Big Hit Music announced that J-Hope and Suga donated funds to support wildfire damage in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.

They noted through their agency, “We hope the prolonged wildfire situation comes to an end soon. We wish for everyone who has lost their homes and is facing difficulties, as well as all those working diligently on the firefighting efforts, to quickly return to a peaceful daily life. We hope this donation provides some comfort and hope.”

J-Hope donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. The funds will be used for disaster emergency relief, recovery for local communities after disasters, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters. J-Hope also provided funds to help families affected by a plane crash following his donation for flood relief in 2023.

Suga donated 100 million won through the Korean Red Cross. The donation will be used to provide necessary food, drinks, and daily necessities to residents affected by the wildfire. Previously, Suga also donated 100 million won to support neighbors affected by the wildfires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon, in 2022.

The group BTS, to which they belong, has been engaged in various charitable activities for about eight years since 2017. Together with their agency Big Hit Music, they are running the 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign, which conveys messages about the value of self-love and the eradication of violence. BTS's official fan club ARMY is also consistently practicing giving back to underprivileged children and teenagers, creating a beautiful cycle of positivity.
