The group Monsta X donated 100 million won to support residents affected by wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk.
The global child rights NGO Good Neighbors announced on the 27th that Monsta X donated 100 million won for the residents and children in the regions affected by the wildfires.
The donated funds will provide emergency relief supplies such as daily necessities and school supplies kits to the affected households, and will be used for psychological treatment and counseling for children suffering from psychological difficulties due to the disaster.
Good Neighbors has launched emergency relief efforts in the wildfire-affected areas of Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk, and plans to implement projects such as providing emergency relief supplies, supporting emergency living expenses, and offering psychological treatment and counseling for children.
The group Monsta X previously donated 100 million won to Good Neighbors in 2020 to support low-income households struggling due to COVID-19. As a result, Monsta X was registered with Good Neighbors' high-value donor group called 'The Neighbors Club' along with its fan club 'Monbebe' and has continued its philanthropic activities.
Monsta X said, "I hope this helps the residents affected by the wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk in any way possible," and added, "I hope that residents who suddenly lost their homes can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Kim Joong-gon, Secretary-General of Good Neighbors, said, "Good Neighbors is doing its best to ensure that practical help, including relief supplies and living expenses, is delivered to residents suffering from the large-scale wildfires," and expressed gratitude to Monsta X for their significant support for the local residents and children.
Meanwhile, Good Neighbors is conducting a fundraising campaign to assist the wildfire-affected areas of Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk. Participation in the campaign is possible through Good Neighbors' website, Kakao together value, and Naver Happy Bean platform. Corporations and material donations can inquire through the representative phone number.
