Byun Woo-seok donated 100 million won for wildfire relief efforts.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association stated on the 27th that actor Byun Woo-seok has donated 100 million won to support wildfire victims in the Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang areas.
Byun Woo-seok said, "I hope this can be a small help to those who are going through a difficult and hard time due to the wildfires," and added, "I sincerely thank all those who are devotedly working day and night to fight the fires." He continued, "I truly hope that the wildfires are extinguished quickly so that everyone can regain their daily lives as soon as possible."
The donation will be used for emergency support and the provision of relief supplies to residents affected by the wildfires.
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude by saying, "We sincerely appreciate Byun Woo-seok's deep empathy and warm generosity," and added, "Hope Bridge will do its utmost to ensure that this sincerity reaches the affected residents."
Previously, in November 2024, Byun Woo-seok donated 300 million won to Severance Hospital to be used for the treatment of pediatric patients, and he has since donated all the revenue from MD sales.
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is providing emergency relief supplies to the wildfire disaster sites in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, and Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and is operating relief vehicles such as laundry support vehicles and mental recovery buses at temporary evacuation sites. They are also considering additional support in consultation with local governments as needed.
