The first mixtape 'Panic' completed with the delicate sensibility of Tomorrow X Together's Beomgyu has been unveiled.
Beomgyu released the audio and music video for the solo mixtape 'Panic' at 6 p.m. on the 27th. As much as his cheerful image, he is rich in sensitivity, being referred to as 'a person who coexists between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m.'. Through this music video, Beomgyu revealed the emotion of 3 a.m.
The Beomgyu in the music video is in a dark room where water is endlessly rising, a field covered in thick fog where visibility is almost nonexistent, and standing alone in front of a sea where a typhoon is approaching. Even the bed, which should be comfortable, presses down on him as if mocking his attempts to escape, with walls closing in on all sides to pressure him.
Moments of suffocating sensation continue as if trapped in a narrow refrigerator, but Beomgyu does not give up. He fills the walls with lyrics that tell his story and grabs the guitar. As dandelion seeds float in front of him like seeds of hope, Beomgyu finally escapes the enclosed space and faces freedom.
This video, directed like a movie, actively reflected Beomgyu's opinions. In particular, the scene early in the music video where he lies alone on the bed was born from Beomgyu's idea. He noted, 'Sometimes when panic hits, it feels like being left alone in the world, and I wanted to express that feeling.' He continued, 'In the music video, I face various hardships and adversities, but I would like you to understand that I ultimately overcame them all and succeeded in stepping outside.'
Beomgyu said, 'Since this is my first music video shot alone, I was nervous. I was also worried about whether the result would turn out well, but thanks to the support of the members of Tomorrow X Together and the staff, I was able to shoot happily.' He added, 'Panic' is a song that fully reflects my thoughts and preferences from the very beginning. I sincerely hope that my song provides comfort and strength to many people.
