SM Entertainment donated 300 million won for wildfire damage recovery.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 27th that SM Entertainment donated 300 million won for the recovery of wildfire damage in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
SM Entertainment stated, "We offer our deepest condolences to those affected by the sudden wildfires and decided to donate to provide practical assistance to neighbors in desperate need during this disaster situation."
Previously, SM Entertainment has continuously engaged in various donation activities during disasters and social crises such as floods, earthquakes, and pandemics, practicing sustainable social responsibility. This donation for wildfire damage is also regarded as a meaningful contribution to realizing solidarity and responsibility at the corporate level.
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, said, "SM Entertainment's donation is a meaningful contribution to practicing corporate social responsibility," adding, "Hope Bridge will stay with the neighbors until the wildfire situation is resolved and they can return to their daily lives."
Earlier, on its 30th anniversary in February, SM Entertainment donated 300 million won to the Community Chest of Korea and has engaged in various social contribution activities, including volunteer work, emergency disaster relief support, and environmental protection campaigns, with employees and artists participating.
