Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 27th that Karina (real name Yoo Ji-min), a member of the group aespa, donated 50 million won each for firefighter support and wildfire victim assistance, totaling 100 million won.
Karina said, "I feel like there has never been a time when I longed for an ordinary daily life like these days," and "I sincerely hope that the prolonged wildfires will be resolved quickly, and that all those who have been affected can return to their everyday lives." She added, "I express my deep condolences to those who lost their lives due to this wildfire, and I sincerely thank the firefighters who are working tirelessly on the scene day and night."
The donation will be used for urgent livelihood support, temporary housing, and relief supplies for residents in wildfire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam, as well as support projects for the psychological recovery and welfare improvement of firefighters.
Shin Hoon, secretary-general of Hope Bridge, noted, "We are deeply grateful for Karina's warm solidarity," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that this donation can provide great strength and comfort to neighbors who are going through difficult times due to disasters and the heroes on the front lines."
