Actress Lee Se-eun conveyed the distressing situation of the increasing wildfire damage.

On the 25th, Lee Se-eun posted on her social account, "The wildfire has spread to Andong. That place is where the ancestral home and the grave of my father lie. This morning, while closely monitoring the wildfire news in the Gyeongbuk region, I felt an ominous sense of worry. At that time, the flames had not spread to the Andong area, but I couldn't help being concerned."

He noted, "I was anxious about my father's grave and wanted to ask the caretaker managing the family gravesite about the situation, but I couldn't. It is the only grave of my father for us, but after discussing with the family, even though my heart is anxious, I couldn't bring myself to ask the people who might be struggling in these hopeless conditions whether my father's grave is safe. Everyone in the village must be frightened and busy; I simply hoped they would not get hurt and that the fire would be contained."

He continued, "And this evening, I eventually received news that a massive evacuation order was issued for all residents of Andong due to the raging flames. Andong has many old houses and the entire area is almost a cultural heritage site. From the UNESCO-designated Byeongsan Seowon to any house you enter, even a single stone in the street is a cultural asset. There are no droughts or floods, a place that feels peaceful and kind, but... I am very worried that my father's birthplace, the ancestral home, the Chaehwa-jeong shrine, and my father's grave might all burn down, especially since the heritage office is managing the ancestral home and thankfully, no one is residing in it at this time."

Lee Se-eun expressed, "I haven't even been able to visit my second child yet... The kids probably won't even remember properly. I wish I had gone to my warm and cozy father's grave more often... It makes me even more sad that there is nothing I can do. How desperate must the residents who have to leave their livelihoods due to the wildfire feel? I sincerely hope that no one gets hurt anymore and that the flames are contained soon. I really hope it rains coolly as well."

She added, "I cannot express enough gratitude to the firefighters working hard under such harsh conditions. I hope everyone can overcome their difficulties and recover soon. It makes me sad that all I can do right now is pray. However, I will pray for everyone in hardship throughout the night."
