Singer Lim Young-woong's home was seized due to unpaid local government tax but was released after the payment was completed.
Lim Young-woong's agency, Fish Music, explained on the 26th to OSEN that "Lim Young-woong's residence APT. is located on the 3rd floor, not the basement or the ground floor where the mailbox is at the entrance, which caused him to be unable to check his mail for a certain period and therefore could not receive the local government tax notice."
The agency stated, "As a result, there was an issue of receiving a notice of seizure," and "After recognizing the matter at the beginning of the year, we immediately paid the tax and the seizure has now been lifted."
They added, "We deeply apologize for letting this happen due to our oversight."
Meanwhile, on the 26th, a media outlet reported that last October, the Mapo District Office in Seoul seized the penthouse of Lim Young-woong's home located in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul.
According to the report, Lim Young-woong's home was seized due to unpaid local government tax, and the seizure was reportedly lifted last January.
