The late Kim Sae-ron's family is holding a press conference regarding the evidence related to actor Kim Soo-hyun's alleged relationship with a minor.
On the 26th, the legal representative of the family, Law Firm Buyou, issued an official statement and announced the press conference.
On that day, Law Firm Buyou stated, "The press conference regarding the disclosure of evidence that Kim Soo-hyun was in a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron since her minor years and the legal response to the recent indiscriminate dissemination of false facts about the family will be held on March 27, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in Venus Hall, 8th floor, Space Share Gangnam Station Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul."
Prior to this, the late Kim Sae-ron's family claimed through the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (abbreviated as "Gaseyeon") that the deceased and actor Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship for six years starting when she was 15 years old, and they asserted that despite the deceased facing financial difficulties due to a hiatus after an alcohol-related traffic accident in 2022, they pressured her to repay 700 million won borrowed for accident settlement.
In relation to this, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist noted, "This is a blatant falsehood that cannot be tolerated," stating, "We are considering the strongest level of legal action available against the dissemination of false facts by the Garosero Research Institute." However, amidst the flood of allegations, they changed their statement to say, "Kim Sae-ron and I were in a relationship from the summer of 2019, after she became an adult, until the fall of 2020," thereby admitting the relationship.
However, regarding the certified document for the repayment of 700 million won, they explained, "If our company were to obligate Kim Sae-ron to assume the penalty fee arbitrarily, it could result in the commission of the crime of breach of trust by the executives who made that decision, and there was a concern that the related costs would not be recognized as corporate expenses. It was necessary to verify that efforts were made to secure the company's claim against Kim Sae-ron."
