In 'Salon Drip,' actor Kang Ha-neul expressed his thoughts on reuniting with Yim Siwan, whom he worked with in the past on 'Misaeng.'
On the 26th, 'Salon Drip 2' was released on the YouTube channel TEO, featuring Kang Ha-neul as a guest. That day, Kang Ha-neul introduced his recent activities and the film 'Streaming' in line with MC Jang Doyoun's guidance.
That day, Jang Doyoun praised Kang Ha-neul's character, saying, "It seems that Mr. Kang Ha-neul frequently meets with the actors he encountered in previous works." Kang Ha-neul humbly responded, "I appreciate it if you see me that way," and mentioned his reunion with Yim Siwan in the Netflix original series 'Squid Game Season 2.' The two garnered acclaim for their collaboration in the past drama 'Misaeng.'
Kang Ha-neul chuckled and said, "Siwan is older than me. Everyone seems surprised when I call him 'hyung.'" He candidly shared, "However, when I was cast, nobody knew. Honestly, the only one who knew was Lee Jung-jae, senior to me."
He emphasized the rigorous security, stating, "In 'Squid Game Season 2,' there was a video for each character shoot. I arrived at the site 30 minutes early and said I would wait in the filming area, but the staff said, 'You can't go down because someone else is shooting.'"
Kang Ha-neul recounted, "So I was surprised when I first saw Siwan during the test filming. He was also surprised to see me, asking, 'It's been really several years, hasn't it.'"
He shared, "It was interesting to meet not as Jang Grae (Yim Siwan) and Jang Baek-ki (Kang Ha-neul) from 'Misaeng,' but as participants in 'Squid Game Season 2.'" He further expressed, "In this industry, or should I say this field, I felt like I had managed to survive to some extent."
