As the wildfires in the Yeongnam region continue for the sixth day, various sectors are mobilizing to aid the affected areas, with stars from the entertainment industry also joining the donation efforts.

According to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on the 26th, singer Lee Chan-won donated 100 million won for wildfire damage recovery. Lee Chan-won is from Uljin County in Ulsan, one of the affected areas.

The agency stated that Lee Chan-won decided to donate as his birthplace, Uljin County, also experienced damage.

National MC Yoo Jae-suk also donated 50 million won. The total amount he has donated to Hope Bridge so far amounts to 1.05 billion won.

A representative from his agency noted, "Mr. Yoo Jae-suk decided to donate with the hope that it would provide some help to the victims after hearing about the wildfire damage," and added, "We hope those affected by the sudden disaster can quickly return to their daily lives."

Go Min-si also donated 50 million won. Go Min-si said, "Seeing the damage continually worsen weighed heavily on my heart. I wanted to help, even a little," and added, "I think this is a time for us to come together. I hope for more participation from others."

Go Min-si is a member of the 'Hope Bridge Honors Club,' an individual major donor group of Hope Bridge, and has quickly expressed her intention to donate whenever disasters like floods occur since starting her donations during the Gangwon wildfires in 2019.

Actress Chun Woo-hee also donated 40 million won to support disaster relief and firefighters who are active on-site in the wildfire damage.

Actor Yim Siwan and actress So Yoo-jin, who is a public ambassador for the Korean Red Cross, also donated 30 million won each to support the affected residents.

Broadcaster Lee Hye-young also donated 20 million won for wildfire relief. Lee Hye-young is also a member of the Hope Bridge individual major donor club, 'Hope Bridge Honors Club.'

Members of the idol group 'Winner,' Kim Jin-woo, and comedian-turned-broadcaster Lee Seung-yoon also donated 10 million won each.

Meanwhile, as of 9 a.m. on the 26th, the death toll has reached 18 due to the major wildfire that swept through northern and eastern Gyeongbuk, and around 27,000 people have evacuated.
