Actor Choo Sung-hoon has been embroiled in false news claiming he fully supported the funeral expenses of the late Kim Sae-ron.

On the 26th, a representative from Choo Sung-hoon's agency, Bonboo Entertainment, noted to OSEN, "It is entirely untrue that Mr. Choo Sung-hoon fully supported the funeral expenses of the deceased; this is fake news."

The representative continued, "Mr. Choo Sung-hoon has previously appeared as a guest on the same entertainment program as the deceased during her lifetime. However, they only met once on the program and did not continue any significant relationship or friendship. Yet, suddenly, fake news spread on social media and YouTube claiming he fully supported the funeral expenses," expressing confusion.

The fake news surrounding Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Sae-ron's funeral expenses has recently spread through various social media platforms and YouTube Shorts. In particular, due to his past connection with actor Kim Soo-hyun, the late Kim's actions during her lifetime have been focusing public attention. Amid this, the false news that Choo Sung-hoon paid all of Kim Sae-ron's funeral expenses has circulated.

In this situation, Choo Sung-hoon's side has been cautious about making official statements, fearing it may affect Kim Sae-ron or those involved, as it relates to the deceased. Nevertheless, they clearly stated that the spread of incorrect information is indeed "fake news."

Choo Sung-hoon is a mixed martial artist and former judo athlete who has appeared on various broadcasts. He married Japanese top model Yano Shiho and they have a daughter, Choo Sa-rang, together, sharing their family life publicly and receiving particular praise. Recently, he has been active on his personal YouTube channel and in the Netflix variety show "Choo Rai Choo Rai."
