Actresses Lee Bo-hee, Nam Kyung-eup, Lee Sang-sook, Park Chan-hwan, Kang Kyung-heon, Kim Ae-ran, Kim Hyun-kyun, and Cha Min-ji have come together for "The Queen's House."
Scheduled to premiere in April on KBS2, the new daily drama "The Queen's House" (written by Kim Min-joo, directed by Hong Seok-goo and Hong Eun-mi, produced by Flying Entertainment and Ascendio) is a story of revenge where a woman who firmly believed in her perfect life has it completely taken from her.
Lee Bo-hee will appear as a homeless person in the drama. The character is the mother of Hwang Gi-chan (Park Yoon-jae), a materialistic person who lives and dies by money. She treats her daughter-in-law, Jae-in, the daughter of YL Group, like a precious family heirloom, but after experiencing a series of events, she undergoes a transformation, showcasing the essence of K-style living.
Nam Kyung-eup, known for his impactful presence in every role, plays the role of Kang Kyu-cheol, the head of YL Group, which has been in the family for three generations. He possesses innate business acumen and a proactive leadership style, and he cherishes his wife and daughter, Kang Jae-in (Ham Eun-jung).
Jae-in's mother, Choi Ja-young, is played by Lee Sang-sook. Ja-young is a director of a representative art museum in Korea and plays the role of the mistress of YL Group. While she appears perfect on the outside, she harbors anger and betrayal over past secrets that gnaw at her inside.
Meanwhile, Park Chan-hwan will play the supportive role of Do Min-jun, the father of Do Yoo-kyung (Cha Min-ji), helping Jae-in.
Kang Kyung-heon portrays Kang Mi-ran, the executive director of planning and design at YL Group. Due to an unexpected event, she will create conflict with her niece, Jae-in, making the drama intriguing.
Kim Ae-ran plays Jeong Yoon-hee, a strong woman who fiercely raises her two children alone. When faced with an unexpected great sorrow, she meets Jae-in and regains hope in life.
Kim Hyun-kyun's character, Jeong O-seong, is a supportive uncle who readily steps in to help his sister, Jeong Yoon-hee (Kim Ae-ran), and her children. He is a character with hidden charm and boundless potential, showcasing a multifaceted appeal.
Kang Sung-min plays Hwang Gi-man, Gi-chan's brother and Yoo-kyung's husband. He is a boastful man with a flair for exaggeration and is known as the family's troublemaker, yet he possesses an undeniable charm that is hard to dislike.
Finally, Cha Min-ji plays the role of Do Yoo-kyung. Yoo-kyung is Jae-in's childhood friend and sister-in-law. She endures a tumultuous emotional journey filled with hidden pains and stories.
"The Queen's House," featuring a diverse ensemble of actors, builds anticipation. The drama is led by director Hong Seok-goo, who has received acclaim for his directing in various works including "Beauty and the Beast," "Oh! Samkwang Villa!" and "My Only One." Director Hong Eun-mi, who has shown a keen sense of direction in projects like "Beauty and the Beast," "Romance Boxer," and "School 2021," joins forces with him. Furthermore, writer Kim Min-joo, who led the revival of daily dramas with shows like "Golden Mask," "Tomorrow is Sunny," and "Shining Eun-soo," will once again captivate viewers in their homes.
Meanwhile, KBS2's "The Queen's House" will air its first episode in April as a follow-up to "Cinderella Game."
