The group BTS has added another significant record on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

According to Big Hit Music on the 26th, the song 'Black Swan' from BTS's 4th studio album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' has surpassed a cumulative playback count of 500 million on Spotify (as of March 25).

'Black Swan' features a trap drum beat and a poignant lo-fi guitar melody, with a catchy hook, creating a dreamy atmosphere. The lyrics contain an autobiographical message from BTS about what music means to them.

Pre-released in January 2020 ahead of the 4th studio album, 'Black Swan' gained significant popularity, entering the U.S. main song chart 'Hot 100' at No. 57 and the U.K. Official Singles Chart 'Top 100' at No. 46. It continues to be beloved, even receiving a 'Gold' certification in the streaming institutional sector from the Japan Record Association in 2024.

BTS has produced a total of 127 songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify, including 'Dynamite,' which achieved 2 billion streams, and 'My Universe,' 'Butter,' and 'Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey),' which surpassed 1 billion streams. Among these, 14 songs have exceeded 500 million streams.

Not only their group songs but also solo songs by BTS members boast impressive streaming power. The title track 'Haegeum' from Suga's solo album 'D-Day,' released in 2023 under the name Agust D, recently surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify. Additionally, Jin's 'The Astronaut,' Jimin's 'Who' and 'Like Crazy,' Jungkook's 'Seven (feat. Latto),' as well as 'Standing Next to You,' 'Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS),' and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' have all been streamed over 500 million times on Spotify.
