The Yoon Hyung-bin Theater, once a cradle for rookie comedians, will close after 15 years.
Yoonso Group announced on the 26th that "the comedy-exclusive theater, 'Yoon Hyung-bin Theater,' will close its doors," adding, "The final performance will take place on Sunday the 30th."
The Yoon Hyung-bin Theater began in Busan in 2010 and expanded to Hongdae, Mapo District, Seoul, in 2015. Established and operated by comedian Yoon Hyung-bin, this space has been the center of domestic comedy performances for the past 15 years.
Currently active on KBS2's 'Gag Concert' are Shin Yoon-seung, Jo Soo-yeon, and Park Min-seong, along with comedians Jung Chan-min, Shin Gyu-jin, Kim Hae-jun, Choi Ji-yong, Park Se-mi, and those from the YouTube channel 'Single Bungle' such as Kim Doo-hyun, Choi Ji-myeong, and Lee Yu-mi, as well as 'comedy idol' Cocoon and former tvN 'Comedy Big League' members Na Bo-ram, Park Kyung-ho, and Choi Woo-seon, who all hail from the Yoon Hyung-bin Theater.
Additionally, KBS's 33rd generation rookie comedians Kim Si-woo, Seo Ah-reum, Lee Soo-kyeong, Oh Min-woo, Oh Jeong-yul, and Jang Hyun-wook, along with the 34th generation members Kang Joo-won, Seo Yu-ki, Son Yoo-dam, and Jo Jin-hyung, also gained experience at the Yoon Hyung-bin Theater.
A representative from Yoonso Group noted, "We thank the many audience members who have loved the Yoon Hyung-bin Theater over the years, as well as the comedians who have shared their joys and sorrows with us for the past 15 years."
