A wildfire that broke out in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province, has spread to four nearby cities amid strong winds, with stars rushing to donate disaster relief funds.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 26th, Jannabi has donated 10 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. They extended a helping hand with the hope of assisting neighbors affected by wildfires in Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang and hoping for a swift containment of the flames.
This is not Jannabi's first donation. During the difficult time in 2020 when concerts were canceled due to COVID-19, they donated masks to Daegu City along with their fan club, and fans collectively raised concert refund money to donate to the Daegu Medical Association.
Additionally, vocalist Choi Jeong-hoon donates his entire performance fee to the Kyunghee University development fund every time he performs at his alma mater's festival and has also donated funds to those affected by heavy rainfall in 2023.
Jannabi is currently preparing for a concert. Even amidst their busy schedule, they do not forget to engage in good deeds, adding a warm touch. In particular, Choi Jeong-hoon garnered attention by posting a lightning emoji and the message "PLZ" on his Instagram, seemingly wishing for rain to fall soon.
In addition to Jannabi, Suzy, Ko Min-shi, Kim Na-young, Lee Chan-won, Yoo Jae-suk, Yim Siwan, NCT Haehchan, So You-jin, Shin Jin-hwa, Kim Jin-woo, and Chun Woo-hee have also donated funds to support victims of the recent wildfire disaster.
Meanwhile, according to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters on the 26th, 18 people have died due to six medium to large wildfires that have occurred nationwide since the 21st, including 14 in North Gyeongsang Province and four in South Gyeongsang Province. Six people are seriously injured, including one in North Gyeongsang and five in South Gyeongsang, and 13 people suffered minor injuries, including six in North Gyeongsang, five in South Gyeongsang, and two in Ulsan.
As a result of the wildfire, 29,975 people in Uiseong, 6,937 in Andong, 10,391 in Cheongsong, 980 in Yeongyang, and 2,208 in Yeongdeok have been evacuated to the Uiseong Indoor Gymnasium or nearby schools, totaling 23,491 people.
