The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 26th that actress Go Min-si donated 50 million won to support recovery from wildfire damage in the Ulsan and Gyeongsang regions.
Go Min-si said, "Seeing the damage grow heavier has made my heart feel heavy. I wanted to help, even just a little," and added, "I believe now is the time to come together. I hope to see more participation from others."
Go Min-si is a member of the "Hope Bridge Honours Club," a group of individual high-value donors for Hope Bridge. Since starting donations for the Gangwon wildfires in 2019, she has quickly expressed her willingness to donate whenever assistance is needed, conveying a warm heart for neighbors affected by disasters.
Shin Hoon, secretary-general of Hope Bridge, noted, "I deeply appreciate Go Min-si's heartfelt donation," adding, "Hope Bridge will provide swift and careful support to help residents in the affected areas recover their daily lives as quickly as possible."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency relief supplies to the wildfire-affected areas in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, and Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and is operating relief vehicles including laundry relief trucks and mental recovery buses at temporary evacuation centers. Additional support is under consideration in consultation with local governments as needed.
Donations related to the wildfire-affected areas including Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang can be made through the Hope Bridge website and online fundraising platforms like Naver Happy Bean and Kakao Together. More details can be found on the Hope Bridge website.
