Singer and actress IU has also joined efforts to support the victims of the forest fire.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced that singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun) donated 100 million won each, totaling 200 million won, to support the victims of the forest fire and improve the treatment and recognition of firefighters dedicated to disaster scenes on the 26th.
IU said, "I hope this small help can assist those affected, and I extend my deepest condolences to the victims," and added, "I sincerely hope the forest fire is extinguished quickly without further loss of life." She continued, "I am deeply grateful for the dedication of the firefighters who are working hard to extinguish the fire."
IU has previously participated in donations during various disasters, such as in 2020 for flood relief and the 2022 East Coast forest fire, exercising her positive influence.
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, noted, "IU's donation embodies a profound solidarity towards neighbors and gratitude towards those struggling in the unseen places," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that this valuable intent is fully conveyed to the affected areas and fields."

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising institution established in 1961 by media outlets and social organizations nationwide. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of national donations, recovery of local communities after disasters, and support for disaster-vulnerable groups.
