Sugar from the group S.E.S opened up about her feelings.
On the 26th, she said, “I am a person. It's human nature to have good and bad things together. I must be the same. But you know, it’s okay if I get criticized. I have become quite indifferent now. The entertainment industry looks glamorous, but we sometimes become the type of people who can only be criticized through others.. It might not be like that.. In fact, we have a very lonely profession.
She added, “I was also very scared... so much that I didn’t want to see people... But moving forward, I want to live a life where I love people and am loved.. Actually, it’s okay if I’m not loved.. I just need to love myself…”
Meanwhile, Sugar was sentenced to six months in prison, two years of probation, and 80 hours of community service after being accused of habitual gambling involving 790 million won 26 times in Macau and other overseas locations from August 2016 to May 2018. She was also sued for failing to repay gambling funds worth 700 million won, but the case was resolved through an agreement in November 2020.
Afterward, Sugar announced her participation in a product using centella. Transitioning into a businesswoman, she garnered attention by farming herself, claiming it was an innovative product, and proved her talent as a businesswoman by selling out the launched products.
