NCT member Haechan donated 50 million won to support victims of the recent wildfires in the Yeongnam region.
The Korea Community Chest of Korea noted on the 26th, "NCT member Haechan donated 50 million won on the 25th to support victims of the recent wildfires in the Yeongnam region."
Due to the wildfires that broke out in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province from the 21st, resulting in 18 deaths and more than 20,000 displaced people, the Korea Community Chest of Korea is conducting a special fundraising campaign for wildfire victims until April 30.
Haechan said, "Hearing about the significant damage caused by the sudden wildfires, I wanted to help in some way" and expressed, "I sincerely hope that the residents affected in the disaster area can quickly regain their stable daily lives."
Earlier, Haechan donated 100 million won for disaster recovery efforts following the earthquake in Turkey and Syria in 2023, and joined the "Honor Society," a high-value donor group of the Korea Community Chest of Korea. He has continued to contribute to various disaster and calamity sites this year by donating to support victims of the wildfires in the Yeongnam region.
Meanwhile, the Korea Community Chest of Korea is conducting a special fundraising event until April 30 to support recovery and relief activities for those displaced who lost their homes due to the wildfires.
