Actor Lee Gi-young has launched a relay campaign urging the dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
On the 24th, Lee Gi-young posted on personal social media stating 'Dismiss Yoon Seok-yeol! Handwritten relay campaign', along with a photo and a lengthy message. Regarding this, he stated, 'Bearing all the worries of the world alone and always being a role model for juniors, I carry on this campaign at the invitation of Chairman Lee Woo-jong of the “Cultural Power Network.”'
He also emphasized, 'I expected it, but upon hearing today the news of Prime Minister Han Deok-soo's dismissal, I can't contain my frustration and anger. Is it today? Or tomorrow? I hope that this week will end the sleepless nights filled with disappointment and worry, and I urge the constitutional judges to make a swift decision on the dismissal.'
He continued, 'I thank the respected Pastor Yoo Jeong-hyun of the “Network of Intellectuals and Religious People for Democracy,” who has been guarding Gwanghwamun every weekend for over three years, as well as Tak Hyun-min, who is now actively performing on broadcasts, and Teacher Hwang Hyun-pil, who is making history with the movement “History as History!” for taking up the baton of this campaign.'
Lee Gi-young is an actor who debuted in 1984 with the play 'King Lear.'
