The TVING original series 'Way Back Love' features Gong Myoung and Kim Min Ha's brilliant first love.
The production of the TVING original series 'Way Back Love' (produced by CJ ENM and Studio Mondo, provided by TVING) revealed on the 26th that it will stimulate curiosity by showcasing memories from the past and present of Ram Woo (played by Gong Myoung) and Hee Wan (played by Kim Min Ha) ahead of its release on April 3.
'Way Back Love' is a youth fantasy romance where Ram Woo appears as a grim reaper in front of Hee Wan, who has been letting youth slip by. Based on the warmly received novel of the same name by author Seo Eun Chae, the story unfolds over a sparkling week, intertwining a thrilling past with a transformed present. It gained significant attention even before its official release, having been invited to the 'On Screen' section of the Busan International Film Festival last year. This, along with the gathering of youthful actors and trusted performers including Gong Myoung, Kim Min Ha, Jung Geon Joo, Oh Woo Ri, Ko Chang Seok, and Seo Young Hee, draws significant interest.
The photos released on that day captured unforgettable memories of Ram Woo and Hee Wan, as well as their dream-like current days. The usually quiet Ram Woo is surprised by Hee Wan, who is always up to something. Ram Woo’s expression of bewilderment as he watches Hee Wan, holding a magic pen, elicits laughter. At the same time, Hee Wan, who has entered a prank involving name changes, catches attention by holding Ram Woo's name tag with a sly expression. However, after six years, the expressions of Ram Woo and Hee Wan are notably different. After becoming a grim reaper, Ram Woo's face lights up with a smile as he faces Hee Wan. The contrast between the brightly smiling Ram Woo and the shadowed Hee Wan at a festival lit by fireworks raises curiosity. Hee Wan’s surprised expression upon seeing Ram Woo’s actions hints at the changed relationship between the two.
The first and second episodes of 'Way Back Love,' which will be released on April 3 (Thursday), will feature Ram Woo, who has returned as a grim reaper, and Hee Wan, who faces him. Their unexpected encounter is expected to lead to episodes from their school days. With contrasting personalities, Ram Woo and Hee Wan start to get closer through April Fools' pranks. Ram Woo’s gradual immersion into Hee Wan, who stirs up the school, is expected to bring delightful laughter.
The production team of 'Way Back Love' noted, "Ram Woo and Hee Wan's school days are filled with various incidents and accidents. Fun events that will remind viewers of their own memories will unfold," and they added, "Please keep an eye on the beginning of first love that comes without a sound."
Meanwhile, the TVING original series 'Way Back Love' will be released on April 3 (Thursday), with episodes 1 and 2 available on TVING.
